Pumpkin Soup with Shrimp

Ever wondered what a typical saturday afyernoon is jamaica was like? Try this soup and you'll not not only get the feeling of sitting under a breadfruit tree in your backyard, listening to some sweet reggae, but you might never actually want to try soup any other way. I vividly remembered every saturday after while laying, the scent of the partially cooked pumpkin soup with lift me up and transport me to the kitchen. I'd stand there, counting down the time until its done and once finished, I would start eating before the scorcthing tenperature decreases. I gaurantee you, if this isnt the best soup youve ever had,you did something wrong :).

Banana Raisin Bread

The greatest part about making a banana bread is that, you don’t need a fancy mixer! A fork to whisk the eggs and a sturdy spoon to mix the batter are all you need. The sugar amount is flexible, (based on the individual) and although he original recipe calls for a cup of white sugar, most people, including me, do just fine with 3/4 of a cup and many are happy with a 1/2 cup.

You can toss in a cup of raisins as I did, different kinds of nuts, or chocolate if thats what you prefer.
Most recipes have been past down from parents or grandparents, but I got mine online and tweaked it to make it a lot healthier and personal. I hope you enjoy.

New Years

Yes!! It's 2016 and I want to wish you all a Happy New Year. I look forward to it as the year of new beginnings. 2015 was a unforgettable year for me, I fell in love, started living for me, learnt a lot about myself, moved to the big city and began my style journey. I look forward to building on everything I discovered and make this one just as unforgettable as the last.

Bleu sur bleu

Being a recent NYC transplant from a small Caribbean island, I've been adjusting to the city life fairly well. This shoot was done in 30 degree weather, I was cold, but really wanted to channel my inner islander and show off every aspect of this outfit.

Coconut Snow Balls

When you hear the word Winter, automatically snow comes to mind and thats where I got inspiration from to remake a classic Jamaican coconut dessert and put my own spin on it. If you're familiar with Jamaican Grater Cake, you'll know exactly how to make these, but one big difference is, these have to be refrigerated (that's where they solidify). This dessert is not only organic, but it's sweet and thats a win, win. Biting into one gives the same feeling as laying on a white sand beach on a Caribbean island, so I'd suggest you give this recipe a try.

Coat life

An outfit can change your entire mood and thats exactly what this one did to me. I started feeling myself a little more than I normally do and you can see that in this shoot. Believe it r not, this was my first time wearing a coat, seeing I recently moved to NY and I determined to make it a memorable one.

Vintage

As an Island boy, colors make me happy and I'm always trying to incorporate them into my outfits. As you've probably read on my "About me" page, my style is island meets city and I try to represent that as much as I possibly can.
